Laminating machines are machines that seals clear, protective sheets or pouches together to preserve the paper item that is in between the pouch sheets. Laminating machines are great to use if you want to keep and protect documents. Laminating machines use temperature, adhesive material and force to press both sides of the clear pouch sheets together and seal the document safely inside. There are laminating machines that have both a hot and a cold option button and some machines only have one temperature. Laminating machines can be easily found and purchased. They also come in various sizes and prices.
The hot roll machines use high heat to seal the sheets together. However, some documents could possibly be damaged from the high heat. These machines are much faster to use and the high heat will assure the best and most effective protective seal.
Cold roll machines only use adhesive to seal the protective sheets together. They could be considered to be the more cost-effective because they do not use heat but cold machines do take longer and the sheets may not be sealed as well. Much smaller laminating machines are also available. Purse laminating machines do not use any type of adhesive to seal. Instead, the sheets of clear plastic makes somewhat of a purse or a pouch form and the sheets are closed or sealed by the pressure that is applied to the unsealed areas. These machines are not as quick as the other two but they are relatively smaller in size and more portable.
